C7 Parallel Session – Coordinated action against the global food crisis
As part of the Civil 7 Summit on 14-15 May 2024, Hungry for Action, World Vision International and the SDG2 Advocacy Hub hosted C7 Parallel Session "Coordinated action against the global food crisis – how the G7 and G20 can save lives, build resilience and secure the future."
The session brought together a range of speakers to share their perspectives on the coordinated action needed to end the food crisis, including government representatives from Brazil and France and the CFS Chair to speak to the opportunities presented by the G7, G20 and Paris Nutrition for Growth Summits to break the cycle of food crises. Civil society voices from GAFSP, Caritas Africa, Tanzanian farmer organisation MVIWATA called for greater leadership and urgent action to scale the solutions we know that work.
