Sustaining Support for Peace in South Sudan
The IGAD Special Envoy to South Sudan met the Deputy Head of Mission of the Norwegian Embassy in Juba to review the political and security situation. Norway reaffirmed its support to IGAD’s efforts in advancing the Revitalised Peace Agreement and inclusive dialogue. IGAD expressed appreciation and reiterated its engagement with the Trilateral Mechanism and partners to support a peaceful transition towards credible elections.

Assessing MHPSS in Health Emergencies
IGAD launched a regional assessment under the Health Emergency Preparedness, Response and Resilience Programme, focusing on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS). The study will generate evidence across eight countries to strengthen integration of MHPSS into health emergency and humanitarian systems.
