Luminate is proud be seed-funding the groundbreaking AI Accountability Lab with overall grant funding of nearly $1.5 million, together with the AI Collaborative and MacArthur Foundation. Housed at ADAPT Centre at Trinity College Dublin and founded by world-leading AI scientist Dr. Abeba Birhane, the Lab will play a crucial role in holding tech companies accountable by conducting research across the entire AI pipeline, paying particular attention to the rights and perspectives of marginalised people and groups across Africa and Europe.
