Feminist Resistance to Anti-Democratic Politics | Feminist Futures Workshop (Session 1)
This roundtable brings together leading researchers to explore how feminist actors across Europe and globally resist anti-democratic and anti-gender movements through solidarity, care practices, and institutional engagement.
Featuring Conny Roggeband (Associate Professor, University of Amsterdam; Senior Fellow, Institute of Advanced Studies), Petra Meier (Professor in Political Science, University of Antwerp), and Saskia Brechenmacher (Senior Fellow, Democracy, Conflict, and Governance Program, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace).
This event was held on 20 March 2026 in Budapest, part of the Feminist Futures Workshop series organized by the CEU Democracy Institute and the CCINDLE project (Co-Creating Inclusive Intersectional Democratic Spaces Across Europe, part of the EU’s Horizon Europe program.
