Webinar Racial Structural Discrimination and Migrant Voice: Who Gets Heard in European Democracies?
On 17 February 2026, MPG's New Europeans Initiative organised webinar launching the new policy brief on racial structural discrimination and migrant voice in European democracies, examining why racialised groups, ethnic minorities, and migrants remain underrepresented in political institutions across Europe. It explored how structural, institutional, and historical inequalities create barriers to political participation - such as voting, standing for office, and accessing funding for civic and political activities - and discuss strategies to strengthen fairer, more inclusive participation and representation across the EU.

• Isabelle Chopin, MPG Director
• Carmine Conte, Senior Legal Policy Analyst, MPG
