Whether because of conflict, blocked roads, destroyed hospitals, or the cost of transport, people often arrive dangerously late. That delay can turn a survivable illness into a fatal one. This is when every second counts. Over the past two years, global crises driven by war, displacement, climate emergencies, and funding cuts have sharply increased the demand for MSF’s emergency care.  In this webinar, MSF experts will share insights into our emergency preparedness and rapid response work. You’ll hear how MSF teams prepare for the unexpected, how we mobilise within hours of a crisis, and why readiness before disaster strikes is just as critical as the response itself. This event is designed for supporters who want to better understand how MSF saves lives in the earliest, most critical moments of an emergency, and how our donors make that possible. The panel will feature Sue Bucknell, deputy head of mission, Simon Eccleshall, head of programs at MSF Australia and Ashley Killeen (host), Director of Engagement at MSF Australia. Together, they will share insights from decades of frontline experience into how MSF prepares for and responds to humanitarian emergencies when every second counts.
