Climate Change and its effects on the Philippines
The climate crisis is also a health crisis.
The Philippines is ranked as one of the most vulnerable countries to climate change impacts, that endanger people’s health and the livelihoods of millions. Severe heatwaves drive heat-related illnesses, the spread of infectious diseases and loss of life.
Increasingly strong typhoons cause immediate and long-term health consequences. Flooding affects Millions on the archipelago and jeopardizes health and safety.
MSF is more and more challenged to adjust its work to the growing challenges. MSF staff member Marcel, takes us with him as he visits MSF projects and meets with people affected in the Philippines.
