A Career Without Borders: Life On Assignment With MSF

A Career Without Borders: Life On Assignment With MSF

Working with Médecins Sans Frontières means working in complex and often challenging humanitarian contexts. But what does that actually look like day to day? In the webinar we will focus on: • What happens after you join the MSF pool and how assignments are matched • Preparing for departure and arriving in a new project • Daily life on assignment, both at work and outside of work • How projects differ depending on the role, team, security context and living conditions • What to consider when the time comes to leave a project We will be joined by experienced MSF project staff from Australia (and New Zealand ? TBC), who will share honest reflections from their own assignments across different roles, projects and contexts. This session will help you gain a realistic understanding of life on assignment with MSF, hear directly from experienced project staff, and reflect on whether this type of work is right for you. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions upon registrations and during the live Q&A. As you’ll hear throughout the session, no two MSF assignments are the same. Each project brings different challenges, teams and living conditions, requiring flexibility, adaptability and a willingness to work in changing environments. If you're interested in working with MSF, this webinar is a great opportunity to learn what life on assignment can really look like.
