PURPOSE
The Tax Analyst Specialist is responsible for delivering efficient and effective end-to-end Tax Accounting/Reporting services for the area of responsibility in line with the departmental objectives in order to meet or exceed business expectations. The role resolves all ensuing issues in a timely manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of the SITA taxation team:
- Collaboration with the other SITA's departments to ensure the accuracy of the data reported in the tax returns;
- Coordinate/control/follow up on the VAT refunds and tax payments
- Consolidate information for internal and external audits and ensure completeness and accuracy of all such information
- Advise management on the impact of new laws on tax liabilities
- Support accounting team on analysis and tax depreciation workings
- p repare and review the reconciliations of the Tax Ledgers/ Tax GL accounts/ Revenue
- Development and input on tax strategies and proposals for India operations
- Develop the job to be done in more efficient way
- Identify organizational and process efficiency improvements
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE
- Min 2 years of work experience in corporate Tax preferably within a medium to large international company with a matrix business structure;
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Ability to multitask to stand up to pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrate the ability to use sound judgement discretion and professional integrity
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships within the organization and with outside stakeholders
- Proficiency in spoken and written English; other languages are beneficial
- Team player and committed towards work
- Attention to detail and accuracy of work
- Ability to work within tight deadlines
- Strategic thought proces and Pro-active mindset
- Demonstrate PC proficiency (MS Office; Word; Power Point and strong in Excel skills) s
- Working knowledge of Oracle/ OBIEE (or equivalent financial systems) is highly desirable.
