JOB SUMMARY

The Ophthalmologist provides specialized eye care services including outpatient consultations, surgical procedures, and inpatient consultations as needed within a medical facility.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function with or without reasonable accommodation.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct ophthalmology consultations for diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases.
  • Perform ophthalmologic surgical procedures such as cataract and other eye surgeries as applicable.
  • Provide screening, treatment, and management of vision disorders and ocular infections.
  • Support inpatient consultations for eye-related conditions.
  • Interpret ophthalmologic diagnostic tests and imaging.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams for integrated patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection control, and clinical protocols.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with completion of post-graduate training in Ophthalmology.
  • Valid medical license and Ophthalmology board certification or equivalent specialization.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in ophthalmology clinical practice.
  • Experience in ophthalmic surgical procedures.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary clinical environments.
  • English proficiency required.
