About the career opportunity:

The Caribbean Biodiversity Fund (CBF) is seeking a qualified web development firm or consortium to design, develop, and launch the Gender Smart Facility (GSF) Hub, a digital learning platform supporting gender-responsive biodiversity conservation and climate resilience across the Caribbean. The platform will serve as a knowledge-sharing and capacity-building hub for conservation practitioners, featuring resource libraries, interactive learning modules, data dashboards, and collaboration tools. Expected Deliverables:

  • Design and development of a fully functional GSF Hub WordPress microsite with custom features
  • Creation of UX wireframes, visual mockups, and interactive prototypes
  • Migration of existing learning modules and CORE project content
  • Integration of third-party tools (Mailchimp, Zoom/webinars, Google Analytics)
  • Development of resource library, expert directory, case study database, and peer learning forum
  • Implementation of multilingual functionality (English, Spanish, French)
  • Development of gender monitoring dashboard with data visualization and reporting tools
  • Quality assurance testing, performance optimization, and security compliance
  • Delivery of training sessions, user documentation, and tutorial materials
  • Post-launch support including bug fixes and performance monitoring

Budget:

USD 17,000 - 20,000

Minimum qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in website and digital platform development
  • Proven expertise in custom WordPress development
  • Portfolio with at least two similar platforms (learning platforms, knowledge hubs, or repositories)
  • Experience implementing multilingual websites
  • Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards
  • Experience with API integrations (email marketing, analytics, webinar platforms)
  • Knowledge of GDPR and data security best practices

Management Skills:

  • Project management including planning, milestones, and resource allocation
  • Team coordination across roles such as developers, designers, and QA testers
