Fleet and Logistic Officer, Juba, South Sudan

 

The Fleet and Logistics Officer will manage the park's vehicles, motorcycles, generators, and workshop equipment, ensuring they are maintained, operational, and ready for field and base use. The role includes coordinating transport and logistics for staff, visitors, operational teams, and supplies, as well as supporting procurement, stock control, and accountability of fleet and workshop resources. This position ensures the smooth and safe operation of all field and base mobility, supporting park operations effectively.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Fleet Management: Oversee daily use of vehicles and equipment, maintain fleet records, monitor fuel, mileage, and vehicle condition.
  • Maintenance & Mechanical Support: Implement preventive maintenance schedules, coordinate repairs, perform basic troubleshooting, and manage spare parts and consumables.
  • Transport & Field Logistics: Plan and coordinate vehicle allocation, transport of personnel and supplies, field movements, and emergency deployments.
  • Procurement & Inventory: Support procurement of fleet, workshop, and logistics items; track deliveries; maintain proper records and accountability.
  • Fuel & Stock Control: Monitor fuel consumption, spare parts, tools, lubricants, and workshop materials; ensure timely replenishment and proper storage.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Maintain accurate records, submit fleet and logistics reports, and ensure compliance with organizational procedures and safety standards.
  • Team Support: Provide guidance to drivers, workshop assistants, and logistics staff; promote proper asset use and accountability.
