JOB SUMMARY
The VAWG Partnerships Officer will support implementation of VAWG- protection interventions led by a specific partner, or by multiple partners at one site of implementation.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with IMC's VAWG- protection leadership team, partners, and community stakeholders, to plan program interventions
- Help to identify and select local organizations for partnership
- Lead partner capacity reviews and related capacity sharing plans
- Coordinate with partners for collaborative program design and proposal development, as relevant
- In collaboration with partner/s, develop partner support plans
Capacity Building and Implementation
- Serve as technical focal point for regular communication and collaboration with partners
- Implement partner support plans, including support and monitoring visits, with attention to technical quality of interventions, adherence to VAWG programming and humanitarian principles, and partner needs
- Support partner capacity sharing in line with support plans, including organization and facilitation of technical trainings, as relevant
- Advise and coach partner staff to deliver program interventions and services, as relevant, including ad-hoc technical support
- Identify organizational capacity strengthening needs and concerns and coordinate with supervisors and other departments, as relevant
Human Resources Support
- Support partners to recruit and train staff, as relevant
- Support integration of partner staff care policies and procedures; promote a culture that fosters teambuilding and principles of self-care
Monitoring and Reporting
- Support partners to understand/develop/apply monitoring and reporting systems, as relevant
- Coordinate with Partnerships, Monitoring and Evaluation, and other departments, as relevant, to coordinate monitoring visits
- Review partner reports, seek additional information, and provide feedback as relevant
- Adapt partner support plans based on results of monitoring and reporting
- Contribute to internal and external reports
Coordination, Representation and Engagement
- Coordinate regularly with the VAWG- protection leadership and participate, as required, in broader team meetings
- Coordinate with Partnerships team and other IMC departments, as relevant
- Collaborate with partners for joint external representation
- Support partners to participate in protection coordination mechanisms; help partners to connect to broader humanitarian architecture, donors, professional networks, and local/national/regional/global opportunities, as relevant
- Ensure that partners are credited for their work in all external representation
- Coordinate with community stakeholders and VAWG specialists for feedback on partner-led interventions, with attention to community participation
- Promote a survivor-centred approach in all internal and external coordination meetings
- Represent program goals and VAWG- protection programming standards
Security and Conduct
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and policies
- Foster a safe and supportive working environment for all VAWG- protection staff and partners
- Adhere to Principles of Partnership in Humanitarian Action
- Exemplify core principles of VAWG programming, including respect, responsible use of power, nonviolence, and promotion of equal treatment regardless of sex
- Contribute to the positive image and overall credibility of the program and organization, notably through adherence to the Code of Conduct and Ethics, including compliance with anti-harassment, safeguarding and PSEA policies

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Typically, a bachelor's degree in a related field. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
- Typically, 3+ years of experience in VAWG-related area
- Demonstrated commitment to core principles of VAWG programming, including equal treatment and survivor-centered support services.
- Familiarity with relevant VAWG prevention and response standards, approaches, and tools
- Familiarity with principles of partnership-based programming
- Training and facilitation experience
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with civil society networks
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, remain flexible, and apply experience and guidance to evolving challenges
