Administrative Manager

Carnegie China, the Singapore-based research center of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, seeks a full-time Administrative Manager to support its Singapore operations. This position will report directly to the Center Director.
The Administrative Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the center, including finance and accounting, grants management and development, office management, human resources, and operations. Responsibilities will include leading the center's annual budget planning process; reviewing spending against budgets; ensuring timely payments in accordance with Carnegie policies; supporting financial audits; supporting fundraising and grants administration; handling compliance and regulatory issues in consultation with external advisors and Carnegie management; working with the DC-based Human Resources team on hiring, benefits, and other projects; onboarding new staff; interfacing with IT staff and vendors; responding to office services requests and coordinating maintenance. A crucial aspect of this role will be coordinating with Carnegie's DC-based finance, development, IT, and human resources teams.
The position requires five years' of related experience and excellent English language ability. Experience with budgeting, financial operations, grants administration, or nonprofit operations is required. The preferred candidate will have a related undergraduate degree. The ability to communicate well internally, to take initiative, and to meet deadlines is essential. The ideal candidate will be well organized with excellent attention to detail and comfortable with an international work culture and entrepreneurial team environment.
