Africa50 is an infrastructure investor and asset manager that contributes to Africa's growth by developing and investing in bankable projects, catalysing public sector capital, and mobilizing private sector funding. Africa50 has raised over US$1 billion so far from 33 African countries, the African Development Bank, two African Central Banks and Africa's largest pension fund. Africa50 has an independent investment process and seeks to generate commercial risk adjusted returns for its investments across key infrastructure sectors.
The Africa50 Infrastructure Acceleration Fund (Africa50 IAF) is a new pan-African Infrastructure Fund established with a vision to positively contribute to economic growth and development of the African continent, and a goal of investing profitably, responsibly, and sustainably in infrastructure projects and services. The Fund is sponsored by Africa50, anchored by African institutional investors, and is targeting like-minded Investors whose interests and investments in Africa are aligned. The Fund is independently managed by an experienced Investment Team, with an Investment Committee deeply rooted in Africa and with strong expertise on the continent.
The Fund is intended to be a 12-year closed-ended fund targeting US$400 million of capital commitments to be raised over multiple closings, and investing in target sectors including power, transportation, ICT, midstream gas, healthcare infrastructure, and education.
Objective of the Internship
This internship allows you to be a part of the growth story of a dynamic and growing pan-African organization, within the Africa50 Infrastructure Acceleration Fund. You will learn the fundamentals of infrastructure project finance and improve your financial modelling skills, within an entrepreneurial environment. Interns are fully integrated in the team and have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of projects.

Fluent in English (French is a plus)
Relevant internship experience in the financial sector (M&A, investment banking, private equity, financial advisory, transaction services, or strategic consulting)
