Project Officer, Funafuti, Tuvalu

About the Opportunity

Abt Global has an opportunity available in the IPM team in Tuvalu, for a Project Officer. The position is full time until May 2027. The position will be locally employed, therefore applicants must have Tuvalu citizenship or residency. Ability to communicate and write well in English and Tuvaluan. The Project Officer is responsible for supporting all administrative aspects of implementation of the project. The position will work closely with the IPM national and international staff and key Ministry of Health and Ministry of Finance counterparts.

Key Duties

• Support finance and procurement activities, including obtaining quotations, payments, banking
• Support the collation of project reports
• Support travel arrangements (domestic and international) for project team members
• Logistical support related to the implementation of vaccination across Tuvalu and support for public education activities such as launches, press briefing etc

Other project activities as requested by MOH, MOF or IPM.

Qualifications

• Competent in using the Microsoft Office suite of programs
• Experience in supporting administration and logistics is an advantage
• Ability to communicate and write well in Tuvaluan and English
• High school certificate with 2+ years' of work experience; certificate in office administration, logistics, or related field will be an advantage
