About the Job
The Assessment department is one of the largest within the IB, playing a critical role in delivering global examination sessions and supporting the organisation's reputation. This role ensures effective coordination with key stakeholders by providing high-quality materials, services and support.
The Assessment Coordinator is responsible for planning and delivering logistics for key assessment events, including subject strategy meetings and Chief Examiner conferences. These events involve several hundred external participants each year and take place in Cardiff and at locations across the UK and internationally. The role also oversees hospitality and participant experience, ensuring smooth delivery and resolving any on-site issues.
Working closely with internal teams such as Assessment, Global Travel, Facilities and Finance, as well as external partners including BCD Travel and event venues, the postholder will manage travel, accommodation and event arrangements. Responsibilities include overseeing event-related expenditure, monitoring bookings in line with IB policies, and supporting budget tracking and reporting. The role also ensures timely processing of participant payments and travel expenses.
In addition, the role provides support to wider operational activities within the Assessment function.
