Senior Regional Communication Officer, Lyon, France

 

Your Role

As a Senior Regional Communications Officer, your day-to-day responsibilities will mainly involve:

  • Logistical management and communications relating to in-person and online events (whether events we organise or those in which we participate)
  • Media relations and enhancing our visibility (at European level)
  • Contributing to the implementation of project-and country-specific communications plans for the Europe region (France, UK, Spain, Turkey, Switzerland)
  • Monitoring activities and events organised by national teams to identify information relevant to external communications and implementing the necessary actions
  • Drafting, coordinating and supporting the creation of content for communication platforms (press releases, publications, social media, web pages), including compelling examples illustrating how Earthworm Foundation and its members/partners are driving change on the ground
  • Coordinating external service providers (graphic designers, copywriters, PR agencies, event organisers, videographers) as required

You are proficient with a wide range of communication tools (video, Photoshop, InDesign, website management) and combine this with a strong analytical mindset and a talent for storytelling, allowing you to translate insights into compelling narratives and actionable strategies. Curious and eager to learn, you actively seek to deepen your understanding of projects and organizational challenges. You navigate complexity and interpersonal tensions with empathy and clarity, confidently taking positions and charting actionable paths forward within your scope of responsibility.

Workings Conditions

  • Education: preferable Master's Degree in Communication/journalism school or equivalent
  • Experience: 4-5 years minimum
  • Language(s): fluent in French & English (Spanish is an asset)
  • Employment: Full-time / Fixed term (1 year)
  • Salary range : 33 - 38 K € annual gross
  • Location: Lyon, France (or Lille)
