In Kikuube District, mobile early childhood development (ECD) services, parenting programmes, & child-friendly spaces are creating hope & resilience, every day. With funding from the Government of Iceland, partnering with the Government of Uganda, UNICEF and Finn Church Aid (FCA) an implementing partner of UNICEF Uganda are ensuring that the children of teenage mothers are not left behind. Over 3,200 children have been enrolled in early childhood development (ECD) centres. Mobile ECD units reach remote communities, a mobile early-childhood development unit on a tricycle is bringing play-based learning directly to their doorste; smiles to the last mile.
