How ECREA’s AACs innovation is leading the climate shift in East Africa

Bingi Leonard, Chairperson of the Agricultural Advisory Committee (AAC) in Buhimba, Uganda, explains how an innovation (AACs) is shielding farming communities from climate volatility. Under the Enhancing Climate Change Resilience in East Africa (ECREA) project, AACs have emerged as the vital link between national climate science and local farm-level action. These committees bring together meteorologists, researchers, and extension workers to translate complex data into localised "Agri-tips" and seasonal advisories that every farmer can use.
