Webinar: Sex differences in health (GBD 2023)
This webinar discusses the patterns of health outcomes between sexes, drawing on the latest findings from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) 2023 study.
Through a critical analysis of GBD 2023 data, the session highlights emerging trends, persistent gaps, and implications for public health policy, research, and gender-sensitive health care strategies. Audience members will explore patterns and disparities in disease prevalence, mortality, and disability across the sexes. There will also be a tutorial on using the GBD Compare: Sex Differences tool to explore GBD estimates related to sex differences.
This webinar is presented by Dr. Luisa Sorio Flor, Assistant Professor at IHME and the Department of Health Metrics Sciences at the University of Washington.
