L'8 aprile 2026 abbiamo rilasciato due lotti di trotelle nella Riserva Naturale Zompo lo Schioppo, 𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝟴𝟬𝟬 𝗲 𝟭.𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗴𝗶𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗶 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗶 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗼, provenienti dal centro di riproduzione e allevamento che Rewilding Apennines gestisce insieme alla riserva. Si tratta di trota mediterranea, specie autoctona che rischia di scomparire dai nostri fiumi. 𝗜 𝗽𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶 𝗱𝗶 𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶 𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗶 𝗰𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘇𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲: tratti privi di trote alloctone, fondali ghiaiosi adatti alla frega, vegetazione ripariale integra, acque di buona qualità e una fauna di invertebrati abbondante: larve e insetti acquatici alla base della loro dieta. È un altro piccolo passo, dopo i rilasci dello scorso anno, verso la ricostituzione di popolazioni selvatiche in un sistema fluviale che le ha quasi perse. 𝗔𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼 𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗰𝗮 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗼! #RiverRestoration #Rewilding 📷Cover photo Bruno D'Amicis 📹Giuseppe Di Renzo Music by Nikita Kondrashev from Pixabay 🇬🇧 On April 8, 2026, we released two batches of juvenile Mediterranean trout into the Zompo lo Schioppo Nature Reserve, 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝟴𝟬𝟬 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟭,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗹, from the breeding and rearing centre Rewilding Apennines runs jointly with the Reserve. Mediterranean trout is a native species at risk of disappearing from our rivers. 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆: stretches free of non-native trout, gravel beds suitable for spawning, intact riparian vegetation, good water quality, and an abundant invertebrate community: aquatic larvae and insects that form the basis of their diet.
