In Dakar, Senegal, fisheries inspectors step aboard vessels under expert guidance, checking documents, inspecting gear and verifying catches. Through hands-on training supported by FAO, the Common Oceans Tuna Project and ICCAT, countries are strengthening their ability to detect illegal fishing and stop it from entering global markets.
