Addressing challenges and building climate resilience in Bangladesh’s aquatic food systems [Bengali]

The intense and ongoing impacts of climate change in Bangladesh, such as rising sea levels, degrading coasts and disastrous weather are threatening the country’s vital fisheries and aquaculture sector. Asia–Africa BlueTech Superhighway (AABS) is supporting Bangladesh to address aquatic food systems challenges by leveraging South–South collaboration to improve sustainability, resilience and prosperity in coastal communities. This video explains two essential areas of work in the country: 🐟 Integrated multi-trophic aquaculture (IMTA)—an aquaculture approach that combines different species from various trophic levels in a single system to maximize resource use, reduce waste and mimic natural ecosystems. 🐟 Climate-smart technologies for reducing aquatic food loss and waste—scaling affordable, accessible climate-smart food preservation, processing and storage technologies to reduce aquatic food loss and waste. ▶️ Learn more at: https://worldfishcenter.org/aabs/bangladesh ▶️ Follow our latest news and events: https://worldfishcenter.org/AABS/News ▶️ Subscribe to the AABS newsletter: http://eepurl.com/ga8RV5 #AABS #AquaticFood #BlueEconomy #SustainableFisheries #ClimateChange #ClimateResilience Follow #WorldFish on social media! * Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/WorldFishCenter * LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/company/WorldFish * Twitter - https://twitter.com/WorldFishCenter * Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/WorldFish/ © 2026 WorldFish: http://www.worldfishcenter.org
