Reversing climate change and overexploitation impacts in aquatic food systems (Bengali Sub)
Aquatic food systems are a vital natural resource for hundreds of millions of people, but climate change and overexploitation are threatening food security and livelihoods across the Global South. The Asia–Africa BlueTech Superhighway (AABS) is working to:
✅ Protect coastal habitats
✅ Improve small-scale fisheries
✅ Develop sustainable aquaculture
✅ Strengthen coastal planning
AABS is implemented by WorldFish with a host of partners to sustainably transform aquatic food systems in Asia and Africa. Funded by UK International Development under the Blue Planet Fund, AABS aims to leverage South–South collaboration to sustainably transform aquatic food systems and deliver a triple win for nature, people and climate.
