Speaker: Andrea Cattaneo - Senior Economist, Agrifood Economics and Policy Division (ESA), Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Dr. Cattaneo is a Senior Economist, leading the team that produces FAO’s annual flagship report on The State of Food and Agriculture, which has focused in its last two editions on the True Cost of Food. He has over 30 years of experience in examining economic issues relating to agrifood systems. His work provides an interface between research and policy as demonstrated by his extensive publication record spanning a broad range of policy-relevant topics. He previously held positions at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
