Mustafa Returns to School

Mustafa Returns to School

Mustafa is a 12-year-old boy from Kassala, Sudan. For years, he was unable to attend school because his family could not afford the costs. While other children learned to read and write, Mustafa stayed at home, missing out on his right to education. Through UNICEF’s Alternative Learning Programme (ALP), Mustafa was able to return to learning, catch up with his peers, and successfully reintegrate into formal school. With encouragement from his family and support through the programme, he passed his exams and is now dreaming of becoming a doctor. Across Sudan, millions of children have had their education disrupted by conflict. UNICEF continues to support alternative and accelerated learning opportunities so children can return to school and rebuild their futures. _____________________________________ Don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel here: / @TheUNICEFSudan The official UNICEF Sudan YouTube channel is your primary destination for the latest updates, stories from the field, and more about our work to realize the rights of every child.
