Ubuntu Rising is Justice Desk Africa’s Youth Ambassadors Programme, which focuses on empowering young people in grades 10 and 11 to become children’s human rights defenders. Supported by UNICEF, under the banner “Standing Together to End Violence”, the programme places a strong emphasis on equipping learners to combat violence in their school communities, with a special focus on preventing gender-based violence and building safe, inclusive environments for all. From 14 – 17 July, Justice Desk Africa hosted the Youth Ambassadors Conference focused on building connections through activism and featuring workshops, talks, and group activities.
