World Coffee Research (WCR) unites the global coffee industry, comprising 200+ member companies in nearly 30 countries investing collectively to create the next generation of climate-resilient coffee varieties that will transform production worldwide. The organization's aim is to preserve origin diversity by creating, testing, and delivering better varieties to farmers around the world. WCR works in collaborative partnerships in coffee regions globally across four integrated program areas—breeding, trials, nursery/seed sector work, and global advocacy—to achieve its mission of enhancing supplies of quality coffee while improving the livelihoods of the families who produce it.
