Fashion Forward Uganda is a flagship program that UNDP is undertaking to transform Uganda’s fashion and design industry into a driver of youth employment, innovation, and creative entrepreneurship. It is anchored at the Makerere University Innovation Pod (MakUniPod) and supports Uganda’s NDP IV priorities on industrialization, skilling, and inclusive growth. The program aims to unlock the sector’s potential rich in creativity and cultural identity to contribute up to US$1 billion to GDP and create over 500,000 jobs by 2030.
