Meet our latest Seed Hero Dr Bart Panis 🍌 Dr Panis manages the banana collection at the International Musa Germplasm Transit Centre (ITC), hosted at KU Leuven, working on behalf of the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT. A pioneer in cryopreservation, he helped establish the world's largest banana cryobank and developed breakthrough techniques now used globally to conserve crop diversity and strengthen food security.
