Getting Clean Hydrogen Right for Poland

Getting Clean Hydrogen Right for Poland

Poland is Europe’s third largest hydrogen producer and consumer, but almost all the hydrogen it consumes each year is carbon intensive. Under EU law, 42% of hydrogen used in industry must be a clean alternative by 2030, but high costs, limited renewable energy capacity, and a carbon-intensive grid make compliance technically and economically challenging. As the Polish government prepares to update its national hydrogen strategy, our panel of experts will discuss how Poland can devise a strategic and pragmatic approach to deploying clean hydrogen for industrial needs. This webinar explores the challenges and opportunities of scaling clean hydrogen in Poland – including the role of CCS – and how it can support industrial decarbonisation whilst maintaining competitiveness.
