In Mali, ongoing conflict has displaced hundreds of thousands of people, leaving many children without access to safe and quality education. In this video, Boubacar Garango, Project Manager at Right To Play Mali, shares how Temporary Learning Centres (TLCs) are helping bridge this gap by creating safe, supportive spaces where displaced children can learn, play, and rebuild confidence. Through the EMPOWER project, these centres combine play-based learning, adapted reading approaches, and strong community involvement to improve literacy and wellbeing. The result is clear—children are more engaged, educators are better equipped, and reading outcomes are improving.
