Reaching out-of-school children: fit-for-purpose pathways to expand quality of learning for all
Over 250 million children remain out of school. For many, the right to education is still out of reach.
This video highlights evidence from the recent Evaluation of UNICEF’s contribution to reducing out-of-school children and improving access to multiple and flexible pathways to learning. It showcases good practices and innovative approaches from Bangladesh, Uganda, and the Philippines—ranging from community-based learning centers, innovative pedagogical approaches for remedial education, and micro-certification for youth.
These efforts demonstrate how contextualization and stakeholder engagement can help create inclusive, responsive, and sustainable learning opportunities for every child.
