Designing EPR Schemes for Textiles Webinar

Designing EPR Schemes for Textiles Webinar

With the landmark revision of the EU Waste Framework Directive passed in September 2025, every EU member state must establish an Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) scheme for textiles. While countries like France and the Netherlands already have schemes in place, for many others, the road to 2028 will be critical as they design new national schemes that meet the Directive’s requirements and tackle fashion’s waste problem. In this expert-led webinar, co-delivered by WRAP and Policy Hub on 20 November 2025, we offer policymakers leading insights on how to build textiles EPR schemes that are robust, effective, and drive circular outcomes. During the session we cover: ➡️ What the Directive means in practice for policymakers ➡️ Key design requirements for national schemes – including the elements that must be harmonised across member states ➡️ Considerations for both pre-legislation design and post-legislation implementation ➡️ The thoughts and perspectives of brands across the globe ➡️ International best practice and lessons to take forward You’ll hear from Sofie Schop, WRAP’s EU Executive Director, and Jordan Girling, WRAP’s Head of EPR. As well as Policy Hub’s Marina Prados Espínola, Director of Policy Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement, and Katarina Biloglav, Public Affairs Manager.
