In the first episode of Nostalgic Favourites with EU Tadka💕, Chef Guntas introduces a delicious recipe straight out of Europe😋. This sausage, cheese and sauerkraut baked puffs recipe is inspired by the flavours of Central and Eastern Europe. Made with German Sausages, Irish Cheddar Cheese 🧀 and sour and crunchy sauerkraut, these puffs highlight the authentic flavours of Europe and the stories behind each ingredient.

Recipe:
- 1 package of puff pastry, thawed
- 1 pound Sausage from Germany
- 1 cup sauerkraut, drained and chopped
- Sliced Cheddar Cheese from Ireland
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Chop the Sausage from Germany and cook in a pan until browned with a sprinkle of salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
- Add chopped sauerkraut to the pan and cook until heated through.
- Spoon the mixture onto one half of the puff pastry.
- Add a slice of Cheddar Cheese from Ireland.
- Fold the other half of the puff pastry over the filling and press edges to seal.
- Brush with egg wash for a golden glaze.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until pastry is golden brown.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
